Because Death in Quarter Time

A long last breath,

To find solace,

Heavy river rocks.

Murmurs of life’s last breath,

Looking for solace,

Smooth river rocks.

Whispers in life’s long, last breath,

Finding solace,

Heavy and smooth river rocks.

Life’s long, last breathing,

Solace’ quiet sigh,

Heavy, smooth, mourns the river rocks.

A Poem Meant for You

I wanted to give a poem to you that might have made you think of me when read by you when not with me.

But words would never come to say what I was feeling, so I left some pages blank for you to write one day upon.  You see?
